Do not submit sensitive personal information you do not want processed.

4. Cookies, advertising, and tracking technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies for essential functionality, analytics, and advertising.

4.1 Types of technologies

  • Essential cookies: required for core site/app functionality
  • Analytics cookies/SDKs: help us understand usage and performance
  • Advertising cookies/SDKs: used to deliver and measure ads

4.2 Google AdSense and advertising partners

We use Google AdSense (and may use related Google advertising services) to show ads on the Service.

Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to our website or other websites.

Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visit to our Service and/or other sites on the Internet.

Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.

You can also manage broader ad personalization through industry tools such as About Ads opt-out (where available).

For more information about how Google uses data, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

4.3 Mobile advertising (apps)

In our iOS/Android apps, we may use Google AdMob (and similar SDKs) to display banner and interstitial/video ads. These SDKs may collect device identifiers and usage data for ad delivery and measurement, subject to platform permissions and your settings.

4.4 Your choices

Depending on your device/browser, you may:

  • Block or delete cookies in browser settings
  • Reset or limit advertising identifiers on mobile devices
  • Use platform privacy controls (including iOS tracking permissions where applicable)

Note: disabling cookies/ads technologies may affect some features or ad relevance, but core search should remain available.

5. How we share information

We may share information with:

  • Service providers (hosting, analytics, customer support, payments)
  • Advertising and measurement partners (including Google)
  • Professional advisors when needed
  • Authorities when required by law
  • A successor entity in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale

We do not sell your personal information as “sell” is commonly understood in everyday language.

Where “sale”/“sharing” is defined broadly under certain privacy laws (for example, for targeted advertising), we will provide required notices and choices.

6. Data retention

We retain information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy, unless a longer period is required by law. Retention periods may vary based on account status, legal obligations, and operational needs.

7. Data security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information.

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

8. Children’s privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction).

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

Depending on your location, you may have rights to:

  • Access your data

  • Delete data
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
  • Opt out of targeted advertising where required by law

To exercise rights, contact us using the details below.

9.1 Deleting your account

You can permanently delete your account and associated data at any time, directly from the app: open the Profile tab and tap Delete account. Deletion is immediate and permanent — there is no recovery period.

When you delete your account, we permanently remove:

  • Your account and profile (email, shopping preferences, sizes/brands, profile photo)
  • Your saved deals
  • Your chat history and search history

Advertising and usage records that are no longer linked to your identity are either deleted or retained only in de-identified, aggregate form for security, fraud-prevention, and legal-compliance purposes. We may also retain the minimum information required by law (for example, tax or transaction records) for the period the law requires.

If you signed in with Google or Apple and prefer we delete your account on your behalf, or you cannot access the app, email us at info@jeannieapp.com and we will complete the deletion.

If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States or other countries where we or our providers operate.
